RUBBER TIRE PEEP SHOW

When experiencing the Rubber Tire Peep Show, one may be struck by the inspired authenticity, fused with an improvisational electricity that gives a slight nod to music of the past.. once you get it, you can’t forget it.

Rubber Tire Peep Show (Halifax/Toronto) is a Canadian musical collective whose eclectic repertoire spans decades and genres. With deep musical roots and a love of performance, RTPS’ music is infused with jam-band dynamics, country-blues sensibility and rock and roll spirit that has captured audiences across Canada.

In 2024, they set out on two successful multi-provincial tours, selling out shows across B.C, Alberta, Nova Scotia, and Ontario in support of their debut, self-titled record. Released in June 2024, the band has since garnered great attention, including features from EXCLAIM! Magazine, CBC Radio 1, and most recently Halifax Music Archives’ Best of 2024

After closing out the summer with a sold-out homecoming show in Toronto; a main stage slot at Highlands Music Festival; and landing an opening slot for Sloan this past fall, the band was invited to kick off the New Year with a milestone performance at Massey Hall’s state-of-the-art venue extension, TD Music Hall

The “Peep Show” is best known for their commitment to the live show and constantly work to bring their audience a unique experience on any given night, curating both in-studio and live collaborations with an ever growing roster of artists and musicians.

Led by founding members Harrison Smith and Liam Slingerland, alongside “usual suspects”; Max Swiderski, Patrick Fockler, and David Matta, the band is now at work producing new music, and gearing up for another cross-country tour set to begin Spring 2025.

JARED JACKEL"S BAD VIBRATIONS

Jared Jackel’s Bad Vibrations is one of BC’s pre-eminent psychedelic recording projects from the Okanagan orchard home of Jared Jackel. Jackel’s captivating freak-folk live performances have propelled him from playing rural fruit-picker parties to opening for the likes of Destroyer. Now featuring tenor saxophonist Christine Chartrand, Jackel’s live sets showcase his unique lyricism while simultaneously commanding retro-world drum machines, droning foot-operated bass pedals, and unbridled post-western guitar picking influenced heavily by Jackel’s years as a busker in Montreal’s hallowed metro stations.
