Rumours: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute

Sponsored by Bill Kaminer

This is some of the world’s most enduring Rock ‘n Roll, that will take you back to a time when music was still an unbridled cultural experience.

There are many Fleetwood Mac tribute bands on the market today, most of which are not considered worthy of the Barnhill Center stage. Until now.

Rumours has meticulously put together a show that spares no detail. They perform the music with precision, spot-on vocals and period accurate costumes and equipment. They have also recreated the band's legendary persona, in all its youthful glory from 1975-1987.

Rumours began performing together in Los Angeles, during the Summer of 2012, at the Roxy Theatre on Sunset Strip. Within months they were seen worldwide on AXS TV’s World’s Greatest Tribute Bands.

Since then, they have traveled all of North America, sharing Fleetwood Mac’s Rock ‘n Roll magic.

Jesika Miller portrays the legendary Stevie Nicks with an incredible likeness, both in appearance and vocals. Kate Sland also impresses as Christine McVie, Ned Brower as Mick Fleetwood, John Rogers as Lindsey Buckingham and Nic Johns as John McVie – all are truly authentic to the original musicians.

Fleetwood Mac's album, Rumours (originally released in 1977), has astonishingly become the best-selling Rock album of 2024, a noteworthy achievement considering its initial release was nearly five decades ago.

According to Billboard's year-end rankings, Rumours was #34, making it the highest-charting Rock album, since the charts were dominated by Pop, Country, and Hip-hop. The 2024 Billboard year-end list notably features just 29 Rock albums in the top 200, with Fleetwood Mac's Rumours leading the pack.

The album's consistent prominence, even among contemporary releases, underscore its significant cultural impact and the undying nostalgia it carries among various generations.

“Rumours is more than just an album; it's a historical artifact of Rock music that continues to find new listeners and maintain a stronghold in the hearts of its longtime fans. While music styles may evolve, the emotional and artistic depth that characterized the Classic Rock era still resonates today,” wrote  Erica Banas, Rock Music Reporter for WMMR Radio in Philadelphia.

What People Are Saying

Rumours’ instrumentation sounds like a carbon copy of the original thing, yes, but – more impressively – vocalist Jesika Miller’s voice could easily be mistaken for Stevie Nicks’. — O.C. Weekly

It's been said imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I say thank you!" - Richard Dashut, Fleetwood Mac Producer

The Barnhill Center

Built-in 1925, in the grand architectural style of Beaux-Arts Classical Revival, the Simon Theatre provided a splendid setting for many theatrical performances, film screenings and ballroom dances. The James Simon family commissioned Houston architect Alfred C. Finn, whose career included designing a number of prominent Houston buildings as well as the San Jacinto Monument, to design the theatre for the community of Brenham. Today, after a meticulous million-plus dollar renovation, the glamour and grand style lives on for future generations in the newly named Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre.
