Micia Mosley

(@Miciamosely) She/Her | Lesbian

Micia (Mee-sha) Mosely, Ph.D. is a comedian and educator who keeps audiences learning & laughing in a variety of contexts and venues. She performs her brand of social justice stand up comedy and hosts events all across the country. 

You may have seen her at The Laugh Factory in Chicago, Gotham Comedy Club in NY, Busboys and Poets in DC; Comedy Oakland, Brava Theater in S.F. Boston University; U.C. Berkeley. NYU. SF Pride; D.C. Black Pride or Girlfest Hawaii. When she's not telling jokes she is working to transform schools with the Black Teacher Project. Check out for more info.

Gabby Jordan Brown

(@HipSoccerMom) She/Her | Queer

Gabby Jordan Brown is a comic, producer and podcaster. She has been featured on Amazon as well as on the festival circuit, with recent appearances at LA Comedy Festival, the LGBTLOL Fest in New Orleans, and an appearance at the All Janes Festival in Portland. Gabby co-produces the show “If We Did It,” a murder-mystery comedy, as well as the courtroom themed showcase “Wait But Are You Sure?” She also is one half of Two Nosy Meerkats, a podcast with TikToker Lukas Arnold.

Aran Abilock Clemmons

(@Aran_Ac) He/Him | Gay, Cisgender

Aran Abilock Clemmons is a comedian, writer, and actor based in Brooklyn, NY. He is a writer for Reductress and is a part of the all LGBTQ sketch team, Queer Window, which has been featured as a part of the New York Comedy Festival. He has also been a finalist in the New York Queer Comedy Festival.

He is known for producing the comedy shows Anne Hathaway Presents, along with Gabby Jordan Brown, and Super Smash Show, a comedy show where the comedians all compete in a Super Smash Bros tournament.

In addition to his usual standup, he also creates short choose-your-own-adventure style video games to be played with live audiences. He is currently in the process of refining a solo show of these games. Stay tuned for updates on his instagram @aran_ac!

In his spare time, he enjoys laughing, hanging out with friends, and writing bios for comedy shows.

Tanna Samone

(@TannaSamone) She/Her | Lesbian, Queer

Tanna Samone hosts Comedy Q, a queer centered comedy open mic at Oakland's White Horse Bar, 1st Mondays. She is a San Francisco born, Oakland raised, lesbian. She is biracial Black & White. Codeswitching, appearing ambiguous race and gender wise, and growing up in the ever changing Bay Area inspire her comedy. She derives her humor from the stark contrast of her existence while making commentary on her community and society.

Wonder Dave

Wonder Dave, the charismatic host of the Safe Words Queer Comedy Showcase, infuses every performance with a frenetic-yet-grounded boundless energy, ensuring each show is a memorable experience. As the face of this celebrated queer comedy night, Wonder Dave has created a vibrant space where LGBTQ+ voices take center stage, delivering top-tier comedy that resonates with diverse audiences.

Wonder Dave has performed at numerous venues and festivals nationwide, captivating audiences with his sharp humor and engaging storytelling. His work extends beyond hosting; he's also a prolific writer and performer, contributing to various comedy shows and events that highlight queer experiences.

In addition to his work on stage, Wonder Dave is a dedicated producer and promoter, committed to fostering inclusivity and representation in comedy. His efforts to create safe and welcoming spaces for performers and audiences alike have earned him a well-deserved reputation in the comedy scene.

Safe Words, Queer Sex-Positive Comedy Showcase takes place at 7pm every 4th Wednesday of the month at the SF Eagle Bar. Tickets are available for a suggested price of $15-$25, but ultimately are 'pay what you can'.
