Description

Embrace the spirit of Abe Lebewohl, highlighted in our special exhibit “I’ll Have What She’s Having”: The Jewish Deli,  owner of the 2nd Avenue Delicatessen who refused to turn away customers for an inability to pay---and join us to make sandwiches for neighbors in need. Learn more about food insecurity nationally and in the DMV while engaging in conversations with representatives from MAZON and DC Central Kitchen, then prepare sandwiches to donate to neighbors in need. Presented in partnership with MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger and the Edlavitch DCJCC’s Morris Cafritz Center for Social Responsibility. Tickets include admission to all exhibitions. Come early to explore the Museum!

Support for CJM After Sunset, Family Day, and Salon Nights is provided in part by HumanitiesDC.
