Join us for this cultural celebration of Scotland1 featuring Whiskey, Poetry, Highland Dancing, art and a delicious Salmon Supper prepared by Chef Tom Miller of Black Tie Catering.
We are celebrating a Robert Burn's Supper - complete with Haggis! The evening begins with whiskey or wine, poetry & live fiddle music in the art gallery, then we will gather in the hall for the presentation of the Haggis and enjoy a performance of Highland Dancing and Music, while dining in our Celebration Hall. Tom will prepare a scrumptious Salmon Supper and will be teaming with pastry chef Renee Bolstad for a dinner you won't forget.
Tom grew up in Spokane, where his career as a Chef began; he eventually moved to Minneapolis, and later Chicago. He was voted Best Chef by City Pages Magazine and voted Best Restaurant sixteen years in a row. In Chicago, Tom managed multiple venues; however, his favorite venue was an eclectic small plate wine bar. Before moving back to Spokane, this location was recognized for multiple years as Couples Choice Awards for Wedding Wire.
Renee graduated from the French Culinary Institute in New York City, new to our area. She has a background in fine dining and is MIchelin starred. Her desserts have been featured in many publications, including Food & Wine magazine. She now runs her own business in Spokane; Koselig Kitchen where she puts a bit of nostalgia into every bite.
