The Annual San Diego County Women's Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Reception honors women who have positively impacted San Diego. Join us this April 13 at the Joan Kroc Theatre for our 2024 Induction Ceremony and Reception to witness history in the making as we celebrate seven phenomenal San Diego women!
The ceremony starts at 10:00 AM in the Joan Kroc theatre; light refreshments will be served afterward.
Doors to the theatre will open 45 minutes before the ceremony starts.
This Year's Inductees
Cultural Bridge Builder
Yolanda López (1942–2021) was a feminist, artist, activist and leader, educator, film producer, printmaker, and a Chicanx studies scholar.
Empowerer
Raye Clendening is a teacher, educational leader and award-winning administrator, and co-founder and board member of the North County African American women’s Association.
Anne Evans is a trailblazing hotelier, receiving many awards for civic leadership on boards and at UCSD to support education, health care and to empower San Diego women and institutions.
Activist
Anne S. Bautista, Esq. is a teacher and Director of Legal Support and Strategy, Casa Cornelia Law Center, specializing in gender-based violence cases in marginalized communities.
Historian
Andrea Naversen, award-winning documentarian, author, journalist, TV news anchor, and editor-at-large of Ranch & Coast Magazine, has chronicled San Diego County’s history and is committed to causes supporting women and children.
Trailblazer
Dr. Olga Diaz was the first woman of color elected to the Escondido City Council, and an outspoken civic leader in many capacities for gender, racial and ethnic social justice.
Spirit of the Hall of Fame Award
Dr. DJ Kuttin Kandi, Hip Hop DJ Scholar, is a disabled, queer, Filipinx Pinay/Pinax American writer, poet, theater performer, educator, and community organize

The WHOF operates as a Women’s Museum of California program in partnership with the San Diego State University Department of Women’s Studies and the San Diego County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls.
Funds raised through the WHOF Induction Ceremony support the Women's Museum of California, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that educates and inspires present and future generations about the experiences and contributions of diverse women.
