Description

Saturday Morning Kids' Workshops are a great opportunity for kids to get their hands dirty and create something!

Each workshop will have  a different project, so kids are welcome to sign up for all 3 workshops!

For the June workshops, She Built This City is partnering with us to provide the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to complete a hand-built project.

For the July workshop, the Gaston County Museum is partnering with us to provide a hands-on, creative experience creating pottery.

A light snack will be provided.

Program Details

Ages: 6-11

TIme: 9:30a - 12:30p

Dates:

  • June 11 - She Built This City
  • June 25 - She Built This City - Build a Little Library for the Catawba Riverkeeper Headquarters
  • July 23 - Gaston County Museum - Pottery Making

Additional Information:

Please note that a participant will not be permitted to attend a Catawba Riverkeeper Camp or Education Program without submitting a completed and signed "Assumption of Risk and Release Form" and "Anti-Bullying Policy Agreement".  These forms will be included with the registration forms participants receive after purchasing a ticket, but can be viewed online beforehand here.

Rain Plans 

In the event a workshop is cancelled due to weather, guardians can expect to receive notice of a cancellation no later than 2:00pm on the day before the event. A full refund will be given for workshops cancelled by Catawba Riverkeeper.  There will be no make-up dates for the Saturday Morning Kids' Workshops.

Refund Policy

  • 1 or more weeks before camp you are eligible for a 100% refund of your ticket purchase.
  • 1 to 6 days before camp you are eligible for a 50% refund of your ticket purchase.
  • After 9:30am on the program date you are no longer eligible for a refund.
  • If your child is dismissed from a program for disciplinary reasons* no refund will be given for the ticket purchase.

*Disciplinary reasons as outlined in our Anti-Bullying Policy
