For over 65 years, the Oshawa Museum has celebrated our city’s history with engaging events, inspiring exhibits, and an extensive collection of archival materials. Nestled on the shores of Lake Ontario in beautiful Lakeview Park, the Oshawa Museum tells the story of Oshawa from the earliest Indigenous settlements to the present day. Home to Oshawa’s history, the Oshawa Museum is managed by the Oshawa Historical Society.

On Saturday September 26 and Sunday September 27, take a tour through Oshawa’s Union Cemetery with the dramatic tour Scenes from the Cemetery. On this walking tour, actors will bring stories to life, portraying people from Oshawa’s past and celebrating these exceptional individuals. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Scenes from the Cemetery, which was first held in 2016! We hope you join us for this anniversary event.

As the number of tour spots for each group time is limited, we urge you to purchase your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Please be aware there are different dates/times for this event. Be careful when selecting your choice.

Rain or Shine! There is a plan in place should we experience extreme weather during the event.
Parking is very limited at Union Cemetery. It is recommended that participants park at the nearby Oshawa Civic Recreation Complex (99 Thornton Road South, 5 minute walk) or consider alternative forms of transport.
This event takes place throughout Union Cemetery and involves walking on uneven ground.
No dogs (service animals are permitted).
