Description

We welcome school groups to enjoy a hands-on, nature-filled excursion where students explore seasonal flowers, learn about pollinators, and discover how things grow.

Each visit includes a guided farm tour, a relaxed Q&A, and a creative drawing activity inspired by the flowers grown on the farm.

We offer these visits free of charge to help foster a love of flowers and nature in our littlest minds!

Itinerary:

9:45-10am Students and Teachers arrive at Earthenry Flower Farm and have a short recess/snack time on the grass.

10:15am Students divide into groups of 5-6 students with an adult helper for supervision around the farm.

10:20am Farm tour commences with opportunity for Q&As.

10:50am Students complete the Earthenry Excursion Activity Sheet, each choosing a favourite flower to draw, along with any other things they discovered along the way.

11:25am Toilet break and load onto bus to depart.

Earthenry Flower Farm

Here at Earthenry we grow over 100 different varieties of gorgeous seasonal flowers all nestled amongst beautiful gardens to explore during our open season events (October to April). Located in Lower Snug we are only a 25 minute drive south of Hobart and 5 mins from the Bruny Island ferry terminal.

From January to March, when our flowers are at their peak, we open weekly for 'Pick Your Own Flowers' and picnics on the lawns. Our Friday night twilight sessions with food, drinks and music are our most popular!

You can also book into one of our inspiring creative floral workshops or learn how we grow our flowers by attending one of our practical farming workshops. Our community volunteer gardening program Garden + Gossip runs every Friday during the off-season and welcomes new members!
