Scott Tournet made his name as a founding member and main songwriter for Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. After 13 years with Potter and the band, he stepped away to start the eclectic world music/rock & roll group Elektric Voodoo for which he wrote and produced three albums. During that time Tournet started a family and moved from California to the east coast and decided to take on more production and mixing work as well as put out more roots based music under his own name. In 2023 he released “Rock & Roll Stories” to wonderful reviews and even some radio attention. In 2025 he released a more acoustic singer-songwriter record simply titled “Home” which celebrates family and a simpler life.
With The Nocturnals Tournet was a co-writer on 4 Top 40 albums and scored a gold record for the hit song “Paris”. He was a co-producer on many of the groups output. During their successful run the band played Letterman, Conan, Leno, Kimmel, Good Morning America, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Fuji Rock Fest, Rock in Rio, along with many other TV spots and festivals. Scott also wrote and recorded with Dan Auerbach (Black Keys), Willie Nelson, T-Bone Burnett, Alison Krauss, etc. while also performing with The Allman Brothers, Bob Weir, The Wood Brothers, Trombone Shorty, Taj Mahal, and many more.
