PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
During each Scout Badge, participants will enjoy:
— A live animal demonstration with some of our ambassador animals
— A guided animal exhibit visit
— Badge related activities
Each badge is designed to cover all or most badge requirements.
PROGRAM DETAILS
What: Scout Badge programs
Who: Scouting groups, individual scouts
Where: At the Zoo
When: All year
Time: 2 or 3.5-hour program
Cost: $17/scout for 2-hour programs, $25/scout for 3.5-hour programs, non-member adults must also pay admission
How: Call our Scout Badge Coordinator at 716-995-6127 to set up a Group Program or click the Register Online button on the right to register for an Individual Scout Program
Scout badge group programs require a minimum of 10 scouts. A non-refundable deposit of $50 will be required to hold your date.
Scout badge individual programs require an adult to attend for every scout registered (siblings only need to bring 1 adult).
Group Program Options
To schedule a badge for your group, call our scout badge coordinator at 716-995-6127. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to reserve a date.

Cub Scouts
Lions: Mountain Lion, Rumble in the Jungle, and Ready, Set, Grow

Wolves: Call of the Wild, Finding Your Way, and Paws on the Path
Bears: Critter Care, Forensics, Fur, Feathers, and Ferns, and Nova WILD

Boy Scouts
Merit Badges: Animal Science, Bird Study, Insect Study, Mammal Study, Nature, and Reptile & Amphibian
Virtual Badges
We also offer virtual versions of each of the badges listed above. Virtual badges can be set up for scouting groups all over the country and even internationally. Each virtual badge would include animal demonstrations from our ambassador animals, live camera views of our exhibits, and badge related activities. Virtual badges cost $12/scout for 1-hour programs and $15/scout for 1.5-hour programs. We require a minimum of 10 scouts for each virtual program.
Individual Scout Program Options
If you are part of a smaller Troop or Pack and cannot get the minimum number of scouts for a group program, you can sign up for our open scout badges for individual scouts. To register, click on the "Register Online" button on the right side of the page. Each child registered must have an adult attend the program with them. If siblings are attending, only 1 adult is required.

Note for in-person classes: All guests are required to have their temperature checked before they enter the Zoo. Any guest with a body temperature of 100.4 degrees or above will not be permitted to enter the Zoo. If you do not feel well, we ask that you do not visit. Please call 716-995-6127 to reschedule any classes you have reserved. During your visit, we require the use of face masks/coverings at all times for all guests ages 2 and up. In addition, all families will be asked to maintain social distancing throughout all programs.
