Description
Turn leftover yarn into something beautiful and useful! In this hands-on crochet workshop, you’ll learn how to combine multiple strands of scrap yarn to create a colorful, sturdy decorative basket.
During this approximately 3½-hour class, participants will crochet a small 4-inch basket while learning techniques that can be used to create baskets in a variety of sizes. Instruction will include creating a magic circle, working single crochet stitches, crocheting with multiple strands of yarn at once, shaping the basket, creating handles, and adding a finished edge.
This is a great way to give leftover yarn a new purpose while learning a versatile crochet project you can recreate at home in different colors and sizes.
Please bring: A size 9 mm crochet hook and approximately 4–5 packages or collections of scrap yarn. Participants will combine their yarn into a new multi-strand yarn ball for use during the workshop.
