Description

Sean’s love of the guitar started at age 12 after seeing “The Buddy Holly Story”. He has never lost his passion for the instrument and this year marks his 40th year as a professional musician.

Through his studies at the Manhattan School of Music, and private lessons with jazz greats, John Abercrombie and Wayne Krantz,  as well as further studies in Nashville with Telecaster wizards Brent Mason and Guthrie Trapp, Sean has developed a unique and sought after style. His love of jazz and country, and his ability to seamlessly blend these two genres has lead him to be regarded as one of Canada’s top guitar players.

After 25 years in Toronto, Sean relocated to Kelowna BC. In addition to leading the Sean Bray's Peach Band he's also the founder and musical director for Songs of the Southern Belles and plays with Cod Gone Wild, Layer Cake Mountain and Rocky Mountain High - Celebrating the Music of John Denver.

Review of Sean Bray’s Peach Band

“A real honest hybrid of instrumental Americana roots with a jazz improv sensibility. Memorable, accessible melodies with beautiful harmony complete with twists and turns in the road.”
