Description
Seussical Jr. Grades 4th - 8th:
Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.
Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!
PERFORMANCE DATES:
Friday, November 15th at 7pm and Saturday, November 16th at 2pm AND 7pm
*Cast party in between Saturday's performances!
Cost: $375
When: Classes meet Tuesdays 4:30-6:30pm, beginning August 13th.
There is also a mandatory rehearsal on Saturday, November 9th from 9am-12pm and mandatory tech rehearsals on Wednesday, November 13th and Thursday, November 14th from 4:30pm-7:00pm.

*It is imperative that all students attend all classes if at all possible. Staff and students will be putting together a 60 minute musical and it is very important to have all students in class as everyone counts on each other. Putting together a show is truly a team effort! Students that miss more than two classes may possibly be removed from musical numbers they were not in class to learn. Re-teaching numbers that were not learned in class can take time away from learning the show for other students.
