Join us at Sewing 101 - Sewing for Beginners, a comprehensive, hands-on workshop designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of sewing. This event is perfect for anyone who has never sewn before or those who want to brush up their basic skills. It will be led by Anita Cummins and Christine Elledge. 

At the end of the end of this class, examples of upcycled clothing will be shown to prepare those who will also be attending the May 18 Upcycle Clothing class.

What to Expect

• Understanding the sewing machine: parts and their functions
• Learning how to thread a sewing machine
• Basic sewing techniques and stitches
• Working on a simple pillowcase project to apply your new skills

What to Bring

• Your sewing machine
• Basic supplies such as thread, bobbins, scissors
• Fabric will be provided
