Description

Welcome Shabbat and celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a festive Sha-BBQ. The evening will include a Shabbat service honoring the Jewish contribution to the great American experiment and celebrating the beauty of this country through patriotic music spanning different eras of American history, including the civil rights movement.

 

The service will also feature special selections from The Braid’s L’Chaim America!, a theatrical storytelling piece created for America’s 250th birthday. Through true, poignant, and often humorous stories, it explores gratitude, possibility, identity, and the diverse experiences of Jewish life in America.

It features 14 true, first-person stories told by professional actors that highlight the rich, diverse, and often overlooked experiences of Jewish life in the United States
