SHE CAME ALONG TO ME: Finding Our Way

*Presented by Anna Canoni

Special multimedia presentation of the story of Woody & Marjorie Guthrie’s life with Huntington’s disease (HD) and fight to find a cure. This program, presented by Woody & Marjorie’s granddaughter Anna Canoni, documents Woody’s illness with HD and shares the loving and creative solutions they pioneered to live a full life with this fatal neurodegenerative illness. In 1967, weeks before Woody passed away, Marjorie founded the Committee to Combat Huntington’s Disease (later renamed the Huntington’s Disease Society of America).

Marjorie led the fight against HD for the remaining sixteen years of her life and brought together patients, doctors, and legislators to make a difference in the lives of those affected by this rare disease, bringing it out of the shadows and into the spotlight. Join the Guthrie family and hear their powerful story giving of hope and help for all those living with Huntington’s disease.

Concert with Annie Guthrie & Friends featuring Abe Guthrie - A musical celebration of the Guthrie Family Legacy.

The Guthrie Center

The Guthrie Center seeks to cultivate cultural preservation, promote educational achievement and foster community outreach to meet the ongoing needs of the community.

Founded in 1991 by Arlo Guthrie to honor the legacy of his parents, Woody Guthrie and Marjorie Mazia-Guthrie. The Guthrie Center offers interfaith services and spiritual exchange. Bringing individuals together for cultural, educational, and spiritual exchange. We work together with other non-profit agencies to serve those in need. In doing so we hope to create an environment where individuals can come together to cultivate a deeper awareness of culture, humanity and the environment of which we are all a part.
