Signs of Spring

Description

Signs of Spring?  In early February?  Yes!  Join Certified California Naturalist Carolyn Greene on a couple of mostly level miles, being on the lookout for new growth in the forest, grasslands and chaparral - - life bursting forth after the welcome rains of winter.  Expect to spot emerging wildflowers, singing birds, shy amphibians, new oak leaves, colorful mushrooms and buds everywhere - all responding to longer and warmer days of late winter. Meet at 10am in the White Barn parking lot; return by noon. Bring lunch to enjoy after the hike as we share nature tales and be prepared to follow County Health guidelines such as physical distancing or/and mask wearing. Heavy rain cancels; parking fees apply.
