Sing For Science will be presenting a very special live taping with Arlo Guthrie and Tufts University anthropologist Dr. Ellen Messer about Arlo’s song “Alice’s Restaurant". The discussion will center around food policy, food justice and the relationship between food scarcity and war.
Tickets are $125 and include a choice of dinner and a glass of wine. Chef Amy Loveless of the Dream Away Lodge, will prepare recipes by Alice Brock (“the” Alice). You will choose from dinner options at checkout.

Dinner Option 1: Cannelloni stuffed with three cheeses, walnuts, olives, lemon, eggs, spices and herbs. Baked with her long simmered tomato sauce and béchamel. Served with garlic bread and Alice's House Salad of endive and romaine, tossed with herb vinaigrette, parmesan and chickpeas.
Dinner Option 2: Gluten free option - Alice’s House Salad topped with herb and lemon baked chicken.
Dessert Options: In season Berries with Curacao and Whipped Cream (gluten free) or Chocolate Whiskey Cake with Whipped Cream.

Ellen Messer is an anthropologist and culinary historian with an extensive background in food policy and food justice issues.
Arlo Guthrie is a retired American folk singer-songwriter. He is known for singing songs of protest against social injustice, and storytelling while performing songs, following the tradition of his father, Woody Guthrie.
