Description
“A little jazz, a little blues, with a whole lotta soul.” That is the mantra of Penticton-based band SO_CO. They play an eclectic mix of compositions, Latin-inspired originals, old-style vocal blues songs and a variety of jazz standards.
Formed in 2021, the band has shaped its music to reflect the collective influences of each band member: Robert’s stylish Latin jazz/Southern blues guitar work, Frank’s compelling bass born in England’s pub-rock scene, Rod’s percussive finesse and Stephen’s funky sax-playing style, honed in clubs across Europe and North America.
Over the years they have individually been part of numerous music projects, both large and small, covering a variety of genres from blues to soul, jazz to big band, and beyond.
