Julia Danielle
Up-and-coming Chicago vocalist and arranger, Julia takes the genre of what is known as jazz to new capacities by adding her own flavor of soul. Julia has a strong background in classical training as she grew up in the traveling and nationally competing Campanella Children’s Choir, as well as privately studying with Northwestern University Voice and Opera professor, Theresa Brancaccio. Julia has had the opportunity to perform alongside saxophonist Sharel Cassity, bassist Clark Sommers, drummer Isaiah Spencer, saxophonist Isaiah Collier, and bassist Dennis Carroll. Julia has also become an avid performer around the Chicagoland area in the most prominent and beloved jazz clubs in town: The Jazz Showcase, Andy’s Jazz Club, Winter’s Jazz Club, Elastic Arts, and The Fulton Street Collective. Julia takes part in rising Chicago pianist Joe Power’s group, performing in different venues of the fusion scene such as Lincoln Hall, Martyrs, Schubas, and The Golden Dagger. Julia continues her deep study and love for jazz with Typhanie Monique Coller in her third year at DePaul University as a Jazz Voice Studies Major.
