The Summer Solstice is a very special time to realign with nature and the seasons. A time to accept a ceremonial blessing with sacred sage, prayer and song, a time for new beginnings.
Please bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy a bonfire while you take in the beauty of Soleado Lavender Farm at peak bloom, all ages are welcome.
Join internationally acclaimed indigenous drum maker and award winning musician Yolanda Martinez for a "Healing Drum Circle" fostering peace on Earth Mother and a healing for the season to come. Bask in healing vibrations and find connection to the land and each other through indigenous drumming and music.
Participants are welcome to bring drums and other percussion instruments. Yolanda will have several of her drums and rattles for people to share. Bring a stone or crystal, to place on the ceremonial alter. Think of stones connected to the blessed warmth of father sun, like carnelian, yellow topaz, tigers’ eye, citrine, sun-stone, or any stone you have found that appeals to you, these stones will absorb and hold the energy of the evening, take it and bless your home with it. Yolanda Martinez is of Apache, Comanche, and Hispanic heritage. She is an award-winning Artist, Singer, Composer, and Master Drum Maker.
In 1987, Yolanda made her first native drum, which turned out to be a very powerful part of her native musical and personal journey. She has been making these beautiful drums for over 30 years. The drums are instruments that synthesize Yolanda’s music with her Native beliefs and ways.
This is an outdoor event and will be held weather permitting.
Covid-19 precautions: We will be following the current mask requirements and any additional guidelines that may be in place at that time of this event. Masks are encouraged.
All minors must always stay with accompanying parent.
