Description
Join your Aurora Symphony at the opening concert of our season with “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” a symphonic celebration of the homes we fondly remember.
Hear “Somewhere over the Rainbow” like you never have before in a beautiful arrangement with the full 60-piece Aurora Symphony.
Experience one of the most popular symphonies ever written: “From the New World,” by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, a homesick musical letter written during his travels to America.
And enjoy a special performance featuring guest oboe soloist Pablo Dos Santos Hernandez of Brazilian composer Brenno Blauths Concertino for Oboe and String Orchestra. Hernandez wrote his doctoral dissertation on Brenno Blauth and his music, and both hail from Porto Alegre in Brazil.
Join us Saturday or Sunday (or both!), October 12 and 13 for “Somewhere Over the Rainbow: A Symphonic Celebration of Home.”
Please note: performance venue may change. All ticket holders will be notified.
