OHMPAA, the Oxford Hills Music and Performing Arts Association, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the presentation of quality entertainment on a regular basis featuring the talents of local residents. On January 1, 2009, OHMPAA became a program of Norway Maine Opera House Corporation which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Most of our performances take place in the historic Norway Grange, and we are most grateful to the Grange members for allowing us to share their lovely building.
Description
It’s about one moment. It’s about hitting the wall and having to make a choice... or take a stand... or turn around and go back. This moving collection of powerful songs examines life, love and the choices that we make. We meet a startling array of characters — from a young man who has determined that basketball is his ticket out of the ghetto to a woman whose dream of marrying rich nabs her the man of her dreams... and a soulless marriage.
Six actors will bring these songs to life on the stage at Deering Memorial Community Center. Opening night will benefit the DMCC.
