Join Uncommon Ground for a Songwriters Night of acoustic songs & stories featuring Charlotte Morris, Maura Streppa, Keturah Allgood, and Aiden Fisher. Experience an intimate night of music as each artist shares original songs and a look into their inspirations as a part of this "Nashville style" writers round.

Charlotte Morris

Growing up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Charlotte Morris discovered her passion formusic at a young age. After starting violin lessons at the age of 4, Charlotte taught herself how toplay the guitar, piano (and melodica), ukulele, banjo, acoustic bass guitar and mandolin, andbegan taking her songwriting seriously by the age of 12. Describing her unique style asgenuine, raw and emotional music with a purpose, Charlotte takes inspiration from female driven artistslike Delta Rae, Brandi Carlile, Sara Bareilles, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, and The Chicks. In January 2018, Charlotte joinedLonesome Traveler– a concert tour which performed thehistory of folk music, starting with Woody Guthrie and ending with songs by the likes of BobDylan and Joni Mitchell. Charlotte released her debut EP “To New York, with Love” in June2018 and has since released a number of singles and another five-song EP (produced byNashville-based Mitch Dane) entitled “Sputnik.” In 2019, Charlotte embarked on her first fully-acoustic tour, performing in over fifteen different cities across the US. She released her first full-length album, “Songs For My Next Ex,” in December of 2020.After moving to Nashville in 2021, Charlotte released “Good Kind of Hurt”, a deeply personalsong about addiction and PTSD, in June 2022, with the hope of spurring more conversationaround the difficulties and misunderstandings of mental illness. She followed up that successwith her nostalgia-filled, folk-driven, single “Tennessee”, and then, “Your Number One”, adriving song of empowerment. All of these singles led up to the release ofWild Child, Charlotte’s2nd studio album, which took the industry by storm in September 2023. The album, personal, vulnerable, and authentic, has impacted listeners worldwide; from live television and radioperformances, to charting numbers in the Netherlands, Canada, and more, the album serves asan example of just how powerful music can be.When the singer/songwriter is not writing or releasing music, she travels across the country inher converted van with her pup, and is an avid crossword puzzler
