Born To Late

These teenagers don’t have much time for homework — they’re too busy rocking stages all over the region. Born Too Late features 15-year-old vocalist Rokkyn Nelson-Kavajecz and her 17-year-old brother Traxx Nelson-Kavajecz on guitar. Along with Taylor Shykes, 17, on bass and drummer Jon Clark, the group performed 104 gigs in 2021. With a versatile, next-generation classic rock sound, Born Too Late has studied the masters, can cover anything from the Beatles to Bon Jovi and perform meaty, from-the-heart originals. The band’s debut album Rebel Child is due in early 2022.
