Description
In life’s challenges, the practice of hatha yoga (aligning body and breath) can calm the mind and open a door to a deeper sense of soul-consciousness. Similar to Jewish tradition, yoga welcomes the notion that we embody the soul. Experience basic hatha yoga techniques like tapping into one’s breath, enhanced body awareness, and plugging into the present moment with teacher Lola Maltz Cohen, a Rodeph Sholom congregant and founder of SoulyLed Yoga.
Participants must be age 18 or older.
Lola Maltz Cohen has worked in health and well-being for decades, mainly as a NASM certified personal fitness trainer, specializing in corrective alignment and preventative injury. She completed her 200hr yoga teacher training with Zuna Yoga in Indonesia in September 2023 and has since been teaching pure hatha yoga. Lola wanted to share her knowledge of breath-mind-body-soul connection with the Rodeph Sholom community to help with things like anxiety and grief, providing members with an overall sense of self-healing and self-actualization.
