Axon CEO and Founder Rick Smith will discuss how responsible AI is reshaping public safety today and demonstrate practical ways to implement AI ethically, what's available today (using videos), and get a glimpse of what’s ahead as technology evolves at an exponential pace.
Axon is committed to building technology that makes Policing more effective, efficient and safe. In fact, three in four law enforcement officers believe AI will make their work easier, improve investigations and boost efficiency.
Rick Smith will discuss his motivation to start Axon (then named Taser), what is the "electronic control device" technology and its impact on the human body, and will demonstrate some of the taser technology available to the public.
Patron Members have the opportunity to attend a free Special Pre-Meeting Reception (6:00-6:30 pm). Non Patron Members may attend this special meeting for $25 plus the meeting fee.

Reservations are required so that all attendees can be accommodated. Seating is first come first serve. Any reservations made after August 14th will be allowed to enter the ballroom after 6:50, space permitting.
SOCR members have the option of selecting 'Register Now' and then selecting the 'Mail Payment' option and mailing a check to the post office box.. Checks must be received by August 15th.
