In its seventh year, the Mt. Hood Summer Training Program aims to foster and build on the tremendous racing talent we have in the region.

In the last six years, we've trained hundreds of athletes at Timberline Lodge in Oregon, under the guidance of expert coaches, with activities coordinated by parent volunteers, that included rock climbing, white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking, swimming and more.

Our goal is to provide year-long training opportunities for racers in the region to ensure they are prepared to compete on the regional and national level at SARA, USSA, Nastar and Crescent Race Events. 

We are a parent-led volunteer organization and welcome your support and feedback as we develop this institution for our talented youth. 

Since the start of the camp, we have stayed at Nanitch Boy Scout Lodge which has been a great way to keep camp costs down, but has always come with its challenges as it's very rustic. This year Nanitch has been rented out to the US Forest Service for the entire summer, leaving us in search of alternate accommodations. This year we have 3 neighboring houses rented in the town of Govy!

The dates we are currently planning on are June 17th-July 3rd. (Travel day on the 25th)

We are also making a change in the breakdown of each week's schedule, with week 1 including 5 days of training, 1 mid-week rest day, AND a trip to the coast on the last day. Week 2 will consist of 6 days of training and one rest day in the middle. We hope this will not only give campers some options in terms of how much training they want to get in vs other activities, but will also provide a fun activity in the middle of camp for those athletes staying for both weeks! The beach trip has been a much loved activity in previous years, but a tiring one. So we have planned it to be right before the mid-camp travel day so that 2-week campers will still have time to rest between sessions.
