SPENCER ELLIOTT
Spencer Elliott turned his focus to progressive instrumental steel string guitar in 2007. Spending several years taking inspiration from and studying compositions by the likes of Hedges, Ross, McKee and Dufour, among others. (All while maintaining a love for influences ranging from Beethoven to Billie Holiday to Bad Brains). Once Spencer began to write progressive finger style pieces, his compositional elements pulled not only from his piano background but also from his affinity for edgier guitar music. His compositions contain rich melodic and percussive landscapes that fuse his contrasting influences and place them on full display. Spencer has performed with numerous international modern fingerstyle guitarists including DonRoss, Antoine DuFour, Luca Stricagnoli and Alexander Misko.
AMBER RUSSELL
Amber Russell is an experimental fingerstyle guitarist from Portland, Oregon, known for her intricate melodies and emotive performances. She co-owns Portland's only queer woman-owned guitar school, retail shop, and repair shop with her wife, Samantha, called Rose City Guitar Company, fostering a supportive community for musicians of all backgrounds. Amber's unique style blends technical skill with heartfelt expression, captivating audiences in every performance. She also offers workshops and lessons, empowering aspiring guitarists to find their own voice. Through her artistry and commitment to inclusivity, Amber Russell inspires and uplifts musicians everywhere.
SEAN RICHARDSON
Sean Richardson is an indie/ alternative acoustic guitar player influenced by Elliott Smith, Sparklehorse, Sufjan Stevens, The Shins, and The Posies.
He spent ten years living in Portland, OR. in the mid-1990’s, sharing the stage with Smith, The Dandy Warhols, and No. 2. Sean played drums and also performed on vocals.
Condenser, released in 2015 was Sean’s first 5-song EP effort, writing and performing on guitar. Sean is releasing two records in the summer of 2026. One record, titled ‘Sitting Still, Doing Nothing’, will feature his indie sensibilities. Sean collaborated with Ken Stringfellow of The Posies, Big Star, and REM fame to perform on several tracks, adding piano, electric guitar and bass. Nashville, TN sessions player, Adam Meisterhans also appears on the record, adding electric guitar as well. Sean recorded tracks at both The Oxide Shed in Athens, OH., as well as Rose City Recording in Charleston, WV. The second release, titled ‘The Lovely Walk Home’ is filled with folk-soul inspired music, born out of his deep West Virginia roots. This record is inspired by Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Tom Petty, Sierra Ferrell, and Tyler Childers. Both records are lining up to be released simultaneously in July, 2026. In addition to his performance goals, Sean also opened an all-ages, sober curious music venue space called Pumzi’s in Charleston, WV., in August 2024.
