Description

Spring Break Kids' Kayaking is a great opportunity for kids ages 10-13 to learn how to kayak!

 

Let your kiddos enjoy spring with Catawba Riverkeeper! We’ll enjoy the blooms of the South Fork River area through kayaking, hiking and engaging activities with information about our water through sampling, games and more! No experience is necessary to participate in all the available activities. Our staff will provide kayak instruction and guidance throughout the day for a fun morning of outdoor play. All equipment and materials will provided. Please plan to provide snacks, brown bag lunch (microwave and refrigerator are not available), water bottle, towel and a change of clothes as well as have your children wear clothing and shoes suitable for water activities. You will receive additional program information the week before the event. 

 

Each day is the same program but your child is welcome to join us for both days to advance their paddling skills!

TIme: 8:30am - 1pm

Additional Information:

Please note that a participant will not be permitted to attend a Catawba Riverkeeper Camp or Education Program without submitting a completed and signed "Assumption of Risk and Release Form" and "Anti-Bullying Policy Agreement".  These forms will be included with the registration forms participants receive after purchasing a ticket, but can be viewed online beforehand here.

 

Rain Plans 

In the event the program is cancelled due to weather, guardians can expect to receive notice of a cancellation no later than 2:00pm on the day before the event. A full refund will be given for programs cancelled by Catawba Riverkeeper.  There will be no make-up dates for Spring Break Kids' Kayaking. 

 

Refund Policy

  • 1 or more weeks before the program, you are eligible for a 100% refund of your ticket purchase.
  • 1 to 6 days before the program you are eligible for a 50% refund of your ticket purchase.
  • After 8:30am on the program date you are no longer eligible for a refund.
  • If your child is dismissed from a program for disciplinary reasons* no refund will be given for the ticket purchase.

*Disciplinary reasons as outlined in our Anti-Bullying Policy
