Join local horticulturalists, master gardeners, and green thumbs for a morning full of glorious garden activities centered around this year’s theme “Rambunctious Garden.”
Schedule of events:
9 - 9:15 AM Check-in
Grab a cup of coffee, check-in, and claim presentation tickets (first come, first served).
9:15 - 12:00 PM Hands-On Activity Stations
Visit the various activity stations where you'll learn how to create soil blocks and seed spirals, grab seeds and knowledge about artificial stratification from MNSEED, practice gardener-safe stretches and movements, swap gardening gear, and get the kids’ creativity flowing with a mural project. Garden tool maintenance will also be demonstrated.
9:15 - 10 AM Presentation: Edible Wild Pollinator Plants – Courtney Tchida
10:15 - 11 AM Presentation: Composting/Soil Health
11:15 AM - 12 PM Presentation: Warm vs. Cold Season Crops
11 AM - 12 PM Library Tours
Take a tour of the lending and workshop spaces of the St. Paul branch. See all of the cool tools available to rent and/or use in our shop!
12 PM Door Prizes & Buzz Off
