Spring Songwriter Series: Third Round

Friday Night Sessions | Friday, May 29 | 8PM

Pay What You Can (Recommended $15)

The Bunker's Spring Songwriter Series wraps up its third and final round on Friday, May 29th at 8PM, with an evening of original music from three distinct voices in the Canadian singer-songwriter tradition.

Kevin Coates brings his signature high-energy presence to the stage. The Waterloo-based singer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist is known for his storytelling and thought-provoking lyrics, and for the genuine connection he builds with every room he plays. Recently voted one of the Top 5 Musicians in the Kitchener-Waterloo region and a featured performer at Kitchener's Belmont Festival, Kevin has been showcasing songs from his latest album, HOPE, at shows across Southwestern Ontario.

Steve Todd is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, violin, mandolin, bass) based out of Punkeydoodles Corners who has played everything from intimate coffeehouses to large summer festivals across Southern Ontario. His songwriting spans a wide range, from protest songs supporting the Wilmot farming community to historical tributes for those who died in the world wars, promotional work for Ontario Parks, and interactive children's songs. Rooted in artists like James Taylor, John Denver, Blue Rodeo, and the Eagles, Steve brings a gentle finger-picking style and a warm voice that weaves folk, rock, and country into something distinctly his own.

JP Riemens delivers original, song-driven performances rooted in Modern Canadiana. His sets are reflective and deliberate, grounded in a lived Canadian experience and built around strong songwriting that holds an attentive room.

This is a pay what you can event with a recommended donation of $15. Doors open at The Bunker Performance Lounge & Cafe, 104 Wellington St, Stratford.

At The Bunker, we’re proud that the majority of ticket revenue goes directly to the artists. To support our mission and keep the music going, a minimum $10 purchase per person from our menu is required during ticketed shows.

With limited seating, we kindly ask all ticket holders to arrive no later than 15 minutes before showtime to ensure your spot. Reserved seating may be released 15 minutes after the show begins. If seats are no longer available, refunds may be issued in person. Please note: no refunds are issued for no-shows.
