Description

This introductory stained glass workshop will teach you to cut and shape glass, and how to use the copper foil method and a soldering iron to construct your very own eye-catching work of art. Learn the basic steps involved in making Stained Glass and get hands-on experience as you craft a small suncatcher. Participants will choose from a variety of beginner patterns, colors, and glass to create their piece and go home with a finished product they can hang in their window to brighten any day.

No experience necessary! This class is intended for students from 15 to 100 years old.

Instructor Lisa Schwartz was introduced to Stained Glass about 44 years ago. She has made hundreds of windows and plenty of mistakes along the way... and loves teaching and sharing her craft with others.  She recently went to Cameroun to complete several large installations (window walls 36 feet long by 8 feet high) and teach local craftspeople.  She also regularly teaches the art of stained glass through community education and local folk schools.
