About the Instructor
The workshop is taught by comedian and instructor Erik Escobar, who has over 20 years of comedy experience performing, producing, and touring across the country.
This summer, Erik’s newest comedy special can be seen on Hulu as part of the AAPI Stand-Up Comedy Series: Comedy InvASIAN and additionally on CBS’ Comics Unleashed. He is currently internationally touring throughout the remainder of 2026 with headlining dates across Canada, Rhode Island, Las Vegas, Oregon, Washington, and California.
Erik’s comedy has also been featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, FUSE TV’s Fresh Faces of Comedy, and as the host of The Big Deal on LatiNationTV.
