LEARN WHAT IT TAKES TO PUT ON A SHOW IN THIS ONE DAY THEATRE CAMP EXPERIENCE...

This August join members of the cast and creative team of JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT as they take your budding superstar through the motions of putting on a major musical! Learn about the roles and responsibilities of the creative team, see the backstage magic that makes the show happen, discover the basics of live theatre and dance, and learn a number from the show and perform it on stage with two of the cast members!

This fun and exciting workshop will be a day chock full of fun and adventure and is a great introduction to live theatre for your young artist. This workshop will be led by two of the country's top musical theatre instructors and performers, Kalie Hunter-Nero and Jarret Cody.

Jarret is an accomplished dance instructor and choreographer and loves nothing more than to share his passion for movement and storytelling with anyone who’ll lend an ear or a limb. His theatre credits include Shrek (TUTS), Crazy For You (The Gateway), Twist & Shout and Footloose (Chemainus Theatre), Mary Poppins (Arts Club & YPT), Mamma Mia (Arts Club & StageWest), Beauty and the Beast (Capitol Theatre), The Tempest (Citadel), Chicago (Globe), and The Prom (Drayton).

Kalie is an accomplished teacher and choreographer, and also co-owner of Metro Movement in Toronto alongside her husband Phil. Selected theatre credits: Scarecrow u/s in Wizard of Oz the Panto, Tanya u/s in Mamma Mia, Boylan sister in Annie, Cinderella the Panto, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Drayton Entertainment) Robin Hood the Panto, S’narled (Capitol Theatre), Mamma Mia, Spamalot (Stage West Calgary), Tantomile in CATS (Panasonic/Mirvish,) White Christmas (MTC,) Dirty Rotten Scoundrals and Beauty and the Beast 2x (Theatre Calgary), Beauty and the Beast 2x (Citadel Theatre) and Silverseas Cruise Lines. Selected film/tv: Nightbooks (Grizelda movement double,) Star Trek: Strange New World, Star Trek: Discovery, Tamarack, Locke & Key, Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City, In The Tall Grass, Shazam, Suicide Squad, 11/22/63, State Like Sleep, Pay The Ghost (Ghost Annie), Season 1 and 2 of The Strain, One Starry Night, Bang Bang Baby, Tiny Dancer, The Ron James Show and Nikita.

Camp fee per child is $50.00, and includes a complimentary ticket for the participant to come and see JOSEPH at the performance of your choice!
