Description
This is the local Star Wars Unlimited Store Premier at the New Horizon Mall.
It will be located:
6-12 players - main floor West end of 3rd Avenue (near the store)
This will be a formal constructed deck tournament for up to 12 players. Each player will be required to bring a single, minimum 50 card deck that they will use for the entire tournament (no changes or substitutions permitted). Though a deck list is not mandatory, it is suggested that each player prepare one. These will not be shared or inspected by other players or the judge, but will help with planning for the event.
All players will need a Star Wars Unlimited ID (register at www.starwarsunlimited.com) and should also register under melee.gg. Any who are not registered will have an ID created for them. For those under 17, please have the parent/guardian create the ID and link their melee.gg account.
* Unfortunately, buying and selling is not permitted in the play area.
There will be 3 rounds up to 55 minutes for Best of 3.
Please review the most current version of the Tournament Rules document to determine rules expectations for ties and long games (as often occurs with Control mirrors). Preliminary matches are expected to be determined by damage to bases. when time runs out.
Tournament pairing system will be melee.gg. It is important to keep in mind that the pairing system will determine the top 8 using it's algorithm for more than wins vs losses, but factoring who won/loss against who else to determine the ranking. Past experience has a substantial number who have similar win/loss records after the preliminary games and there will not be enough time for additional play-off rounds to determine those who are ranked 5 to 8. The top 4 will play off for single elimination rounds to get to finalists and championship.
Prizes in each pod are:
2 boosters per win
1 booster per player (participation)
2 weekly play boosters per player (participation)
There will not be any prizes for inter-pod play-offs, but players are welcome to play an additional match if there is time.
