Come gather in Hovland for an evening of fiddle tunes, moving feet, and shared joy.
Steam Machine—an old-time and bluegrass band rooted in the sounds of the Midwest—will lead us through a community dance, with a caller to guide the way. No experience needed, no partner required—just a willingness to step in and see what happens.
And if dancing’s not your thing, that’s alright too. These are tunes meant for listening as much as moving—music that carries history, rhythm, and a kind of contagious delight.
Led by fiddler AJ Srubas and guitarist Rina Rossi, Steam Machine brings a deep love of traditional music to life with energy, care, and spark.
Set in the old Hovland Town Hall, this is one of those nights that feels simple in the best way: neighbors, music, wooden floors, and a room that comes alive together.
