The Sewing Society of STL was founded in 2019 as a place for sewists in the St. Louis area to build an inclusive sewing community. In both an online and in-person setting we share our makes, ask sewing questions, give sewing advice, and meet for indie sew-alongs and open studio time. The member base has grown to nearly 3,500, and continues to grow as more people in the St. Louis area seek out a community to share in the joy of sewing. We'd love to sew with you soon!

The theme for this year's event is SUSTAINABLE STYLE :
Reducing fabric waste has become a major goal for indie sewists everywhere; let's make STL Frocktails a celebration of how we can use repurposed textiles to make beautiful clothes!! We encourage you to wear something made from upcycled / sustainable materials, a thrifted & adjusted garment, a ready-to-wear garment that you re-worked to fit your personal style, etc. You are free to interpret the theme however it makes sense to you, or you are welcome to wear any me-made item! (Because after all, me-made things are in and of themselves a sustainable choice!).

- The event will take place on Sunday, September 7th From 2-5pm, with the runway beginning promptly at 4pm.
- This year's event is once again at City Garden in the historic Shaw Neighborhood in the city of St. Louis.
