Storytelling Using Color: An Evening with a Colorist
Join us for a filmmakers' evening with producer, director, and senior colorist Joddy Eric Matthews at Cleveland Cinemas Cedar Lee Theatre. Sponsored by Liminal Space Productions, Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival, LJG Group, and MadWerkz Studios Ohio.
Matthews served as the colorist of several domestic and international television shows, including CaribbeanGirl NYC, which aired on FranceTV, BBC Two, and the Caribbean Network FLOWTV, and the upcoming mini-doc series, Kings of Vegas, starring Jimmy Kimmel, Snoop Dogg, and Chuck D.
The Colorist Society member will walk through a real-world Color Grading workflow and discuss how Color Science and tools aid not only in making pretty pictures, but also in the storytelling process. He also discusses the DoP/Colorist workflow in using advanced Camera systems such as the Alexa, and how he worked to tell the story on the feature Interval, which he DOP'd and Colored.
