Stratford Hall's signature, the Wine & Oyster Festival, returns on September 17 & 18, 2022! Virginia wineries, coastal oysters, local food trucks and breweries, artisan booths, live music, and more! Be sure to stop by the Car Shows & Kids Zone! 

Please note, Tasting Tickets are for wine tasting only.

Tickets are valid for one day only. To attend both Saturday and Sunday, please purchase one ticket per day (two total to attend both days per person). They do not include oysters or beer tasting.

This event is held rain or shine and tickets are non-refundable.

New for this Festival: Party Tents!  

Bring your family and friends and spend the day in a Party Tent at the Wine & Oyster Festival!

For $275 you and an unlimited number of guests can enjoy a shaded, private space that includes a 15’x15’ frame tent and an 8′ long table. The party tents will be in a great location next to the breweries, near the live music with a wonderful view of the c. 1738 Great House.

This tent will be yours for the duration of your time slot which is based on your selection at checkout.

At checkout, choose from the following options:

Saturday, September 17 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  SOLD OUT! 

Saturday, September 17 2 p.m. – 6.p.m.

Sunday, September 18 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. ONE LEFT!

Reserve yours for Saturday or Sunday when purchasing tickets.

Please note: Limited tents available and they are offered on a first come, first served basis.  You will need to bring lawn chairs and the fee does NOT include tickets to the festival.

Stratford Hall brings together people from around the world to experience two-thousand acres of natural and human history, preserved and presented so that we can all learn from the courageous struggles of our ancestors, taking inspiration both from what they endured and what they accomplished. 

Established by Thomas Lee in the 1730s, Stratford Hall is one of the great houses of American history. An important part of the Stratford Hall experience is an opportunity to learn about the courage and leadership of Richard Henry and Francis Lightfoot Lee as they signed the Declaration of Independence, and with their family, helped give birth to the United States of America. Visitors can also earn about other Lee family members, like Hannah Lee Corbin an outspoken thinker and one of our nation’s earliest known proponents of voting rights for women. And they can learn about the birth and early years of Robert E. Lee, who rose to become superintendent of the U. S. Military Academy at West Point, a leader of the armies of the Confederacy, and president of Washington College.

At Stratford Hall, visitors will encounter two-thousand acres of natural and human history, preserved and presented so that we can about our past, from prehistoric times to today, and we can honor the courageous struggles of our ancestors, taking inspiration both from what they endured and what they accomplished.
