Strong Words is Storytelling for Adventurous Audiences. Now in our 16th year, we boast the most diverse roster of storytellers and musicians in all of Southern California. You’ll find us on stages at the Autry Museum, the Ebell of Los Angeles, the Rancho Mirage Library, the Mark Taper Auditorium in the LA Public Library and now at Barnsdall Park in Los Angeles. We have stories that make you laugh, cry, think, fall in love. And when we do our job right: we’ll feed your soul. All in 90 artfully-packed minutes.
Description
SO this is our first show in this venue and we’re a little excited and nervous. We have a stellar lineup of audience favorites to celebrate this auspicious occasion including our beloved Annabelle Gurwitch fresh from her cross-country book tour (did. you see her on Bill Maher?).
If you’re familiar with Barnsdall Park, you know where to park and where the theatre is, but if you haven’t been, it might be worth coming a wee bit early.
So - just a heads up - we need a little permit for beer and wine and we missed the cutoff sooooooooo you might want to bring a bottle and enjoy on the beautiful grounds before the show. We’ll have sodas and waters available, though. Maybe we’ll bring ginger beer and pretend it’s hooch!
This is a big step for us. But we’re ready for the next chapter in our story and we really hope you’ll join us on the adventure!
