Toronto, ON – Toronto-based multi-service entertainment agency, Strut Entertainment, is proud to present Songs and Stories – an intimate evening of acoustic performances and behind-the-music storytelling from four of Canada’s most compelling rising stars in country music: Jessica Sevier, Justin Legacy, Karli June, and Ryan Langdon

 

Hosted at the iconic Dream Cafe in Penticton, BC – one of Canada’s most beloved live music venues – this unique acoustic showcase will take place on Tuesday, September 9th in advance of Country Music Week in Kelowna, BC. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the show running from 8:00 PM to 9:45 PM

Songs and Stories offers fans a rare glimpse into the heart of the songs and the artists behind them, as Jessica, Justin, Karli and Ryan share stripped-down versions of their music alongside the personal journeys and inspirations that brought them to life.

Nestled in the heart of the Okanagan, The Dream Cafe has hosted some of the nation’s most iconic artists, including Jeff Healey, The Sadies, Joel Plaskett, Murray McLauchlan, and Jesse Cook. Known for its warm and intimate atmosphere, the venue is the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable night of country storytelling and song.

Whether you're a longtime country fan or simply looking for a meaningful live music experience, this promises to be a night of heartfelt connection, laughter, and raw talent.

About Jessica Sevier

Recently signed to the Paquin Artists Agency, Toronto-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jessica Sevier blends country, roots, and Americana with a rock edge and R&B undertones, creating a sound that’s both raw and emotionally resonant. With over 2 million career streams, she’s set to release her new single “Good To Drive” on July 4th via The Orchard. Co-written with Robyn Ottolini and producer Derek Hoffman (Arkells, The Trews), the track explores the pull of being endlessly available for someone, wrapped in a catchy, radio-ready hook. Since debuting with “Ghost of Tom” in 2019, Sevier has steadily gained traction with tracks like Motel,” which has surpassed 200,000 streams. She’s performed alongside Jason McCoy and Tim and the Glory Boys, and graced stages from Nashville’s Whiskey Jam to Toronto’s Lee’s Palace. With more music on the horizon, Sevier continues to carve out a space for her honest and dynamic voice in the Canadian country scene.

About Justin Legacy

A rising country singer-songwriter from Gatineau, Quebec, Justin Legacy first made waves with his standout performance on La Voix Season 7 and his debut album Tempted. With over half a million streams and a growing fanbase, his blend of talent, passion, and stage presence continues to turn heads across Canada. In 2022, Justin signed with Balistique Musique, releasing new material including his single “Broken Man.” He’s headlined major Quebec festivals like Festivent and Festival Western de Saint-Tite, and is currently collaborating with artists like Chad Brownlee, Dan Davidson, and Wes Mack. A new single is set for release this summer, with performances planned across Quebec throughout 2025.

Karli’s duet “Feel Like Home” with Ryan Langdon landed in the Top 30 in Canada and Top 15 in Australia on country radio, while her song “Still Make Cowgirls” topped SiriusXM Canada’s Top of the Country and earned her multiple CMA Ontario nominations. A wide range of musical styles can be seen on the Dream stage. Though they differ in genre, they are united in their skills. Expect to see Jazz, blues, indie, R&B, folk, punk, spoken word, reggae, rock, country, comedy, and more.

There's no need to print your tickets, we will greet you at the door with our guest list for the show.

Doors open 6pm (unless otherwise stated). Show starts at 8pm. Kitchen is open from 6-9pm. We are an all-ages venue! 

No need for reservations for dinner - your tickets include your table for the evening. Please arrive by 7:15pm to have time to get settled before the music starts.
