ABOUT GEORGE RODRIGUEZ: George Rodriguez creates decorative ceramic sculpture addressing his identity and community.
ABOUT THE GORGEOUSITY: The Gorgeousity is a delicious, immersive art-weapon, designed to combat and transcend the societal demons which divide us and diminish our human potential. The company was created in 2013 as an audience-generated, improvisational collaboration between artists and attendees. Each experience is guided by Ancient Muses of Music and Dance, Aoede and Terpsichore (Falato and Getz, respectively). Gently transforming audience members into an instant-ensemble of makers and playmates, each Gorgeousity adventure stealthily takes attendees on a journey through their collective imaginative potential, as they metaphorically and fantastically face and transcend some of society’s greatest problems.
COVID-19 INFO: All attendees should be fully vaccinated and prepared to show their vaccination card. An N95, KN95 or surgical mask will be required while in the building. If you do not have one a disposable surgical mask will be provided. All performers are fully vaccinated - including booster shots - and will be performing without a mask at least 10 feet from the closest audience members. All front facing staff are fully vaccinated - including booster shots - and will be masked. These measures could change based on the guidelines of the CDC and the City of Philadelphia.
COMEDY CLASSES: Crossroads Comedy Theater also offers classes in improv, sketch comedy writing, stand-up, and more! Our six week classes will give you skills that go beyond the stage and page and are suitable for all walks of life, not just performers. For more information click here.
