Join us for a sweet science encounter at our new dessert experience, Sugar Science - A Taste of Colorado at The Inventing Room Dessert Shop beginning January 2024. Our new Chef-led culinary demonstration takes you on a whimsical, head-freezing tasting journey exploring some of our favorite Colorado delights, served up with our special twist of molecular gastronomy. Watch and learn how our favorite tastes of Colorado can be made into sweet treats with our own unique spin using science and a little bit of magic.
Each ticket includes six delightful treats, such as Donut Bread Pudding with Chokecherry Syrup, Freeze-Dried Jolly Rancher Dipping Dots & Pine Forest Space Foam; your choice of liquid nitrogen ice cream sundae, and time in our black light room with glow in the dark sweets - for a captivating 45 minute Inventing Room experience.
The menu of bubbling, smoking liquid nitrogen sundae choices include the Colorado S’mores Sundae (vanilla ice cream rolled in graham cracker crumbs, toasted marshmallow and double chocolate sauce), the Colorado Sundae (vanilla ice cream topped with house made honeycomb, bananas foster and Colorado Goat Cheese Caviar) and our signature, award-winning Mexican Fried Ice Cream (vanilla ice cream rolled in fried cinnamon & sugar tortillas, house made butterscotch, double chocolate sauce and cinnamon whipped cream).
The experience, designed for all ages, is limited to 15 guests total for each session to ensure each guest's enjoyment in our little dessert shop. Sugar Science - "Taste of Colorado" will begin January 2024 with the dessert shop open Thursdays - Sundays for demonstrations. This experience is perfect for date nights, family outings, and sweet & science lovers of all ages or just to satisfy that sweet tooth.
Please note, all ticket sales are final (non-refundable) and non-transferrable to different times are dates. Your ticket is considered VOID after your ticket time passes. A ticket is required for anyone entering the dessert shop. Please read the tips for purchasing tickets below.

Looking for some private time at our dessert shop? Our private "Taste of Colorado" demonstration is perfect for a birthday outing, employee outing or just to gather together with family and friends. While we do not offer birthday parties at the dessert shop, this is a wonderful dessert experience for a birthday celebration outing for all ages - just let us know it is a birthday celebration! For a private demonstration, simply purchase all 15 tickets for a time slot. We only have the dates and times available listed on our online shop. At this time, we have very limited tickets and private demonstrations available forApril only. May tickets will be available toward the end of April and we cannot book tickets in advance of ticket release. We will not schedule private demonstrations in advance of monthly ticket releases.
TIPS FOR PURCHASING TICKETS -
- If you are attending with a group, purchase all tickets at once. Time slots sell out fast and could sell out as you are purchasing tickets.
- Please make sure you are selecting the correct date and time you wish to visit before completing ticket purchase.
- For a private demonstration, simply purchase all 15 tickets to one time slot.
- If it is only allowing you to select/ purchase one ticket during a selected time slot, that means there is only one ticket left in that time slot.
- We highly recommend using a desktop computer or tablet for purchasing tickets, we have heard of some issues with using a phone to purchase tickets though SimpleTix. Please note, it can take a few minutes for you to receive your email ticket confirmation especially when there is a high volume of ticket sales - your confirmation email will arrive via SimpleTix Orders.
