INSTRUCTORS
Benjamin Jones has appeared on TV on Conan O’Brien, Late Night with David Letterman, All My Children, Dallas, and several made-for-TV movies, in addition to numerous theatrical credits. But his real passion is improv. He studied improv at Upright Citizen's Brigade (UCB), Magnet Theater, Peoples Improv Theater (PIT), and Annoyance Theatre. He performed with UCB's founders (Amy Poehler, Matt Besser, Matt Walsh, and Ian Roberts) on stage as well as in their TV series. He is a prolific performer, appearing in comedy improv shows in NYC multiple times per week with his group Mosh Squad and on Armory house teams. He has performed his fully-improvised solo show "Just Ben" in LA, NYC, Chicago, Detroit, San Diego, and at Honolulu's improv festival, Improvaganza.
Patrick Block teaches theatre classes at Chaminade University of Honolulu. He holds a MA in Educational Theatre from NYU. He studied acting and improv at Principia College, the Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting, UCB, and Magnet Theater. He worked in a professional improv company based in New York City that performed in the tri-state area. He currently performs in improv shows in Honolulu regularly as a member of the improv troupe Think Fast. In addition to his work at Chaminade, he teaches improv after school to middle-schoolers at Punahou School, and he is the director of PACKids, a musical theatre training program at the Performing Arts Center of Kapolei (PACK).
We look forward to seeing you!
