Community theater is alive and well in Paonia!  On July 1st & 2nd, kicking off the Cherry Days celebration, the Paonia Players will host an evening of music and comedy at the Paradise Theatre in Paonia.  Get ready to laugh and have a fun time!

The project began as a group of North Fork Valley senior citizens creating, practicing, and performing a musical comedy revue under the direction of Merrily Talbott of the Paonia Players.  What was called “Senior Follies” has now expanded to include younger cast members, and the show now bears the title, “Summer Follies.”  Song and dance numbers from Broadway musicals,  Vaudeville routines and skits, short films, a short play, and audience participation games will make for a fantastic evening of entertainment for the whole family.

The Paradise Theatre

The Paradise Theatre is an intimate non-profit theatre located in the heart of Downtown Paonia. Our mission is to build community through educational events, live music, film, and theater.  The historic entertainment venue was built in 1928 and formed into a non-profit in 2014.  From it's inception, the Paradise has been a gathering place for the community.  Our standing room capacity is 200 and our seated capacity is 119.  We offer organic popcorn and snacks, locally produced wines and liquors, hard cider, and a full bar with speciality cocktails.  The Paradise Theatre Board, Staff, and Volunteers value diversity and inclusion.  All are welcome here.
