Summer Mah Jongg League at New Asia - Sub List

Can't commit to 6 weeks of League play, but don't want to miss out on the fun? Join the sub list and when someone can't make a particular date you can fill in for them and your score will count towards their overall standings. Participation as a sub is free!

Following is information about the League:

Whether you're looking to sharpen your skills or enjoy friendly competition, this league offers a welcoming and engaging environment for all participants. Join a community of Mah Jongg enthusiasts who share your passion for this timeless game while building confidence, strategy, and lasting friendships along the way.

League Format

  • Play will follow NMJL rules.

  • Each session will include two 60-minute timed rounds.

League Dates

  • July 7, 14, 21, 28

  • August 4, 11

Schedule

  • Lunch: 1:00 PM

  • League Play Begins: 2:00 PM

  • Event Ends: 4:30 PM

Attendance & Substitutions
If you need to miss a league date, please notify Linda McKnight at least 24 hours in advance. If you arrange for your own substitute player, that player's scores will count toward your league standings.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 players.

Linda offers beginner and intermediate American Mah Jongg lessons in Northwest Mississippi and the Memphis Mid-South area, providing a fun and engaging approach to learning the game. 

Linda is a member of Michele Frizzell’s Mahj Life Instructor Guild.  She has earned credentials in National Mah Jongg League Rules, and Sportsmanship through the Guild.
