Interested in learning more about photography? This summer workshop will help beginners get a glimpse into what it takes to take a good photograph using digital cameras (that’s right, no cell phones 😉) Students will walk away understanding how to use Shutter Speed, Aperture and ISO settings on their camera as well understand what makes a good composition in a photograph
When: June17th-20th, 2019, 8am-11am
Where: SM Library
Cost: $250
Who: All SM students who are interested in learning more about photography
Materials needed: Students need access to their own Digital DSLR camera, memory card, USB thumb drive (to save photos), camera cord to connect from camera to USB port on laptop or desktop, loaner laptops or desktops will be available to students in the library during session hours, digital cameras will not be provided. This DOES NOT mean go buy an expensive camera. Use a family camera or borrow one from a friend. Any brand will work!
If you are interested in pursuing photography and plan to take Photography and Advanced Photography at SM, then it would be a good idea to invest in a camera, as they will not be provided. Many quality cameras can be found on second hand sites. Camera must have "M" Manual Setting.
