Description
Join us in the Fernandina Fossils art area and use our supplies to create your very own personally made resin jars, clay ornaments, mermaid purses, and other mementos featuring fossils that you found yourself! It's the perfect reminder of your time on Amelia Island's beaches and a great way to show off the beauty of your fossil finds.
We'll provide all the supplies except the fossils - though you can also purchase fossils & specialty items from us for your art if you prefer to do so. We offer activity stations for making clay ornaments, resin displays, and mermaid purses (jewelry and key chains made from fossils). All activities are available on a drop-in basis on Sundays between 12 and 4 pm on a first-come first-served basis. Click the “Reserve your spot now” button to hold your spot.
Cost is determined by projects chosen, see flyers below. We will collect payment at the time of the activity.
Size is currently limited to 5 per group, but we can accommodate larger groups and/or private sessions, so please do ask if you have a special request or if you would like to come by on a different day/time. Note that it takes 24 hours for larger resin projects to cure, so you'll have to come back to collect your work the day after the event. If you are from out of town, we can send the art to you.
